Committee (TIC) - is a professional industry union of the leading TV channels, media
agencies and advertisers, that represent interests of Ukrainian TV industry and

Vitalij PUTINTSEV, chief editor of “Teleradiocourier”
magazine.
“Conference «IPTV: Ukrainian
Perspectives" will be held on the initiative of “TRK” magazine. Leading television
and telecommunication companies were invited as organizers.
Technology IPTV – digital interactive
television in networks of data transmission using Internet Protocol – rapidly growing
on global market. Ukraine is preparing for its active implementation. Telecommunication
provider “VOLYA” plans to provide its subscribers with an access to internet television
in the second part of this year. The mobile operator “URS” (TM Beeline) has launched
digital television service “Beeline TV” in test mode (to have an access to IPTV
a subscriber must be connected to Beeline Broadband and purchase a viewing box).
Telecommunication company “Kievstar” filed the documents to the National Council
for licensing as a provider of software services for technology IPTV. “UKrtelecom”
company refrained from filing for license only because of (as they think) illogical
license fee. It’s postpones commercial launch of IPTV under the brand name U.TV.
(“Ukrtelecom” provides IPTV service in the test mode based on internet service “OGO”).
Technology IPTV combines interests
of television and telecommunication markets, developers of technical solutions -
in general it is a very common them for participants of TV and Radio Fair. We also
invite representatives of the controlling and regulating government organs to actively
participate in the conference – they will also have what to say and something to
listen to.”

Comment about term and place of TV and Radio Fair-2010

The economic
crisis has undoubtedly slowed the development of Ukrainian media market, but the
market continues to work, and it requires all its tools, including - TV and Radio
Fair, the main annual business forum for professionals of Ukrainian media industry.
It is clear from TV and Radio Fair-2009 that even during crisis all traditional
formats of the fair proved to be useful:
Exhibition of professional
equipment and technology, Television and radio content market,
industry conventions, conferences, seminars, presentations ... Therefore, the concept
of the working program of TV and Radio Fair-2010 remains unchanged.
We also have the answers to the questions "when and where?" Venue -

Exhibition Centre “KievExpoPlaza” greatly enhances the capabilities of TV and Radio
Fair - we will have 6 conference halls at our disposal (I would like to remind you
that a few corporate events had to be cancelled during TV and Radio Fair-2009 due
to lack of conference rooms); there is a climate control system in the exhibition
centre; there will be no problems with exhibition space, catering etc.
The date
was selected taking into account the wishes of all major groups of participants
of TV and Radio Fair. Exhibitors of technical equipment are interested in the TV
and Radio Fair being held not earlier than one month after the exhibition NAB (U.S.,
10-15 April) and doesn’t collide with the Photo Fair in Kyiv (May 20-23) ...

want TV and Radio Fair not to be held at the same time with Moscow's "TeleShow"
(May 12-14) and Congress of cable operators in Gaspra which is held in the middle
of May ... Regional and local broadcasters object against TV and Radio Fair-2010
being held before the elections to local councils (May 30) – there are many reasons,
including economical, for local elections to be an absolute priority for all regional
Broadcasters. Holding TV and Radio Fair before or during the first days of elections
would inevitably lead to a loss of many potential participants.
In general, all the key organizational issues are resolved now - it is now up to
the professionals of the media industry to make each annual TV and Radio Fair timely
and useful.

• Accreditation (registration) of the visitors-specialists of TV and Radio Fair-2010
is mandatory and free of charge. Registration is carried out on the days when
TV and Radio Fair is held. "Applications for participation in TV and Radio Fair"
must be filled out and specialists ID provided. Applications can be sent in advance
or filled out at TV and Radio Fair. The application contains the following details:
Name of the specialist, position / place of work, contact details: tel., fax, e-mail,
web-address, postal address. Receiving of applications in advance allows Organizer
to: • regularly provide up to date news to the specialist, inform him about events
and participants of TV and Radio Fair. • inform TV and Radio Fair exhibitors and
event organizer about a specialist’s participation that will contribute to the effective
work of a specialist in TV and Radio Fair. • Timely production of a personal badge.
• Reserve a printed catalogue (directory) of official participants of TV and Radio
Fair and other promotional materials for a specialist.
